“I am excited to be joining the Supplement Certified team. I believe Supplement Certified has a strong business model combined with a talented and dedicated team both on the science and management sides of the business. The opportunity for this business to impact people lives positively is tremendous through awareness and education on supplements.”
Company Founder and Lead Scientific Officer, Professor John Nolan, said “The board of Supplement Certified is very excited to have Tom Hennessy as CEO and Tom will be instrumental to bringing this unique service to organisations working in the food supplement industry globally”. Professor Nolan emphasized the value of the service by stating, “it is clear that the mission of Supplement Certified is to protect the consumer from food supplements that are not meeting label claim, in a way that quality can be assured, and the consumer can benefit. This is now exceptionally important because peer-reviewed studies confirm that when specific targeted nutrients such as carotenoids and omega-3 fatty acids are provided in supplement form, patients can reduce their risk of age-related diseases such AMD and Alzheimer’s disease. Given that Supplement Certified has enormous global reach and relevance, the Supplement Certified establishment will require high level leadership into the future.”
